Remove those swirls from your paint and make your car shine like-new.
For many vehicles on the road, their paint is filled with tons of swirls, scratches, water spots, or bird droppings. Over time, as this happens more and more, the gloss and clarity of the dulls away. Instead of your paint being a vibrant bright color, it actually looks chalky and faded.
The goal with paint correction is to remove those imperfections from the paint work to bring back the gloss and clarity, making it look better than the day you bought it! And adding a ceramic coating on top would give it that extra bit of crazy gloss.
How do you get those swirls in the first place? The most common way is by improper washing and drying of your vehicle. For instance, as we’ve all done before, when we’re drying our vehicles in the driveway, we’ll use an old towel or rag to dry it.
The fibers can be stiff enough to cause those fine scratches in the paint. Or maybe there’s some very small debris like rocks or dirt stuck in those towels and that’s going to cause scratching.
The type of process we follow at Luxe Detailing Pro is very thorough and comprehensive. It’s not just about getting a high-speed polisher and going to town on your paint. That can cause more damage like burning through the paint if you’re not careful.
Our goal is to remove the swirls from your paint while also keeping the clear coat in a “healthy” range. You don’t want to chase every scratch on the car, while removing more and more clear coats to jeopardize it from prematurely failing.
We use a combination of polishers, pads, and compounds to safely and effectively remove the imperfections from your paint. Each car will be different based on the size, condition, and type of clear coat it has.
You can have two vehicles of the same make and model, but require two completely different levels of service to get the paint back up to standard. That’s why we tailor our services to exactly what you want. There’s no one-size fits approach.
The first part is to do a thorough decontamination process to prep it for the polishing phase. In order to do this, we need to clean the wheels and tires, thoroughly wash the vehicle, and perform a clay bar and iron decon treatment to remove any surface contaminants from the paint.
Now that the paint is clean and free of debris, we can start the polishing step. This is heavily based on the condition of your vehicle and the type of results you want to achieve. For some vehicles, this may be a one-step polish and take only a few hours. For other vehicles, this may be a more time-consuming process where we have to get more aggressive and take two days to complete.
Finally, no detail is complete if we’re not protecting the paint. For this step, we can apply either a sealant or ceramic coating to add a layer of protection and more shine. A sealant may last a few months while a ceramic coating can last a few years.
The goal with Luxe Detailing Pro is to provide exceptional detailing services to Anaheim and surrounding areas. Whether it’s an interior detail, headlight restoration, or window tint, we want to provide exceptional results for you.
Price is based on the size and condition of your vehicle. You can have the same two types of vehicles and still require completely different levels of work based on the results you want. For instance, a Honda Civic can take longer than a Ford F150 due to the condition. General prices shown below. Please contact us for a more accurate quote.
Small vehicle: $450 to $700+
Medium vehicle: $800 to $1,200+
large vehicle: $900 to $1,500+
There’s no one-size fits all approach to these services. If you simply want to refresh your paint in order to sell it, we can do that for you. It’ll take a few hours and you’ll be set.
Or maybe you just purchased a new-to-you vehicle but the paint is heavily swirled and oxidized and you want to revive the paint. That would take a more extensive amount of work and time but we can do that for you.
Generally speaking, a two-step correction is meant to remove 85% or more of the imperfections from your paint. This is when you really want to remove most of the swirls so you can bring back the most gloss and clarity.
A one-step polish is a lighter service where we’re removing 50% to 70% of the imperfections. This is great if you want to give your paint a boost of shine without spending too much time or budget on it. Or if your paint is already in good condition and you just need a bit of work to get it back to standard.
That being said, it all really depends on your vehicle. We’ve seen it countless times where we’re able to get 80% swirl removal on a heavily swirled vehicle with just a one-step polish. Each vehicle is different!
We’re a mobile-based detailing company so we come to you! We also service:
How long does paint correction take?
It can take anywhere between half a day to two days or more depending on the type of results you’d like to achieve. Generally speaking, for smaller vehicles that don’t require much work, that can be done in half a day. Whereas with larger vehicles that require more work, that can take a day or more to complete.
Can paint correction damage my car’s paint?
This is the fine-line a detailer has to consider when polishing paint. You can definitely take things to the extreme and remove too much clear coat that you burn through the paint. That’s why with us, we measure your car’s clear coat with a paint thickness gauge to see the “health” of your paint. That helps us determine what we can do with it. We’ll do several test spots to choose the least aggressive method that will give us our desired results.
Does this remove all the scratches on my paint?
Your paint is made up of three layers (primer, base, clear coat). When we’re machine polishing the paint, we’re technically polishing the clear coat. Now, for a deep scratch, if it goes through all three levels of paint and down to bare metal, then most likely, we can’t remove it but we might be able to at least reduce it.
